If you’re holding ADA, you have a say in how Cardano’s blockchain grows.

One way to make your voice heard (and earn ADA rewards) is to vote in Project Catalyst for the new products, services, tools and integrations that you think deserve funding. Fund14 is happening right now and 20 million ADA is available to the worthiest proposals.

This article explains what Project Catalyst is, how to register to vote before September 11th 2025, and how to vote. The NuFi team’s proposal is also explained below.

About Project Catalyst

Project Catalyst is Cardano’s on-chain funding experiment. Teams propose new products, services, developer tools, integrations and partnerships, and ADA holders vote on what should be funded. Everything is on-chain and transparent.

The goal of Project Catalyst is to give Cardano teams the funds needed to innovate, iterate, problem solve, and boost Cardano adoption. Project Catalyst started in 2021 and has funded over 2000 proposals with more than $150 million.

About Fund14

Fund14 is happening right now. Twenty million ADA will be distributed to the most deserving proposals in 4 categories: Developers, Ecosystem, Concepts, and Partners & Products.

Register to vote before September 11th 2025, then vote for your favorite proposals from September 22nd until October 6th 2025.

To be eligible to register and vote, you need to hold at least 25 ADA (excluding staking rewards) in a non-custodial wallet like AdaLite or NuFi. You can register to vote using AdaLite wallet, while voting itself is done using a mobile app.

There’s a how-to guide for registering and voting below. If you vote in Project Catalyst, you’ll receive rewards in the form of ADA for helping out.

NuFi's proposal

The AdaLite/NuFi wallet team’s Fund14 proposal: integrate Cardano wallets into one of crypto’s most-popular wallet adapters, Reown (formerly WalletConnect). NuFi’s proposal will:

Integrate Cardano wallets into Reown, one of crypto’s most popular wallet adapters.

Result: Teams building multichain dApps on Cardano and Ethereum, EVM, Solana, SVM or Bitcoin will be able to use a single wallet adapter for all chains – no more separate and complex wallet integrations. Reown will support all CIP30-compatible Cardano wallets.

Make Reown’s wallet adapter usable by Cardano dApps; Cardano teams will be able to integrate Reown’s plug-n-play adapter to instantly support every CIP30-compatible Cardano wallet.

Update WalletConnect’s Cardano library to support governance actions. Cardano’s governance apps will become accessible to mobile wallet users (and desktop users with web wallets who connect via WalletConnect).

GridPlus’s proposal

GridPlus wants to add full Cardano support to its best-in-class hardware wallet devices.

GridPlus users will be able to send, receive and stake ADA, manage CNFTs, use Cardano dApps, and swap Cardano tokens. NuFi wallet will be the first wallet to support GridPlus Cardano accounts.

How to register to vote

Registering to vote in Project Catalyst takes about a minute. If you registered before Fund10, we recommend that you register again so that you can receive ADA rewards for voting.

Visit adalite.io and access your existing Cardano wallet; do this by entering a seed/recovery/mnemonic phrase or by pairing a hardware wallet device (Ledger, Trezor and BitBox02 devices supported).

You’ll see a QR code which is shown only once and is not visible again after you close this window. You’ll need this QR code later, and losing it means re-registering. Please store this QR code securely by taking a picture of it, printing it out, or saving it as a PDF before closing the window.

Open the Catalyst Voting app. Press ‘Connect wallet’ then ‘Use voting QR code and pin’’.

Scan your QR code and enter your pin code. An eligibility snapshot takes place on September 11th 2025; on this day, please ensure you have at least 25 ADA (excluding staking rewards) in the account you registered with.

You’ve now linked your wallet to your voting app. When voting starts on September 22nd 2025, you’ll have a couple of weeks to cast your votes.

In the meantime, look at proposals using the app and bookmark the ones you like. You can also browse proposals on https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/14.

How to to vote

Voting is done through the Catalyst Voting app on a phone. It’s very easy; the app shows you all proposals and lets you search and filter, you vote ‘YES’ for the ones you like, then you submit your votes when you’re ready.

Voting starts September 22nd 2025 and ends October 6th 2025 – be sure to submit your votes using the Catalyst Voting app by this date.

If you want to support the NuFi team, please search for “Integrate Cardano in Reown” in the app and take a look at our proposal. Support it with a YES vote if you think our idea’s a good one.

Results will be announced in the second week of October.
